My life is gray. It seems funny that I would be saying that based on my life. I'm generally a smiling person, I'm always ready with some sort of terrible pun. I say this not because I'm sad, because I'm not. God has filled my life with amazing friends, family members, leaders and leadership opportunities . He gave me the best high school I could have hoped for and a job nearby. My life is gray because of what I've chosen to do with it. It's not black in evil or white with purity. My life is gray because I let it sit and I watch it. I have all the colors in the world to paint a beautiful masterpiece for Christ. I have colors like joy, love, and grace, but I let them stay on the tray, to afraid to see what they look like on my ever-blank canvas. What's the point of being forgiven and being filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit if I can't put it on display for everyone to see?
The gray canvas sits and waits for life to find it, wondering when it will come alive.
The masterpiece lives everyday with Christ in mind, it takes a stand for what is good and pure in right.
We are not to sit by and wait for life. We don't let laziness masquerade as patience. We don't let pride disguise itself as humility. That is the life of the gray. Life doesn't start when you turn 18. Life starts when you meet Christ. My friends, life has started! We won't wait to live sold out for Christ. Today is when it starts. What I need, what we need, is a kickstart of color. Unleash your brush, let your creativity flow and paint a picture so full of truth and love and purity that anyone who sees it can't help but look to Christ. The kickstart is Christ and the picture is your life. Run wild.
