In the beginning God created.
God.
Man
Carpool.
What? Stick with me. When God created man, we were on the same course. God and man together going down the path of life, always hand in hand. Perfect. What a life in the garden! Can you imagine? Living with God. Being able to visibly interact with God any day? Next. As we cruise down this highway, man decided to take a detour. Man decides it knows its way through existence better and takes the next exit.
God.
Man.
Separated.
But God, instead of moving on and finding a new carpool buddy, decided to turn around and follow us off our exit. He finds us.
God.
Man.
Intersection.
Unfortunately, we aren't as intelligent as we seem and easily get lost. So, in this random county of the cosmos we call Earth, we keep losing God and finding Him again.
God.
Man.
More intersections.
The story of humanity becomes God repeatedly bringing us to Himself and us running again. Pharaohs, kings and world powers and still, we keep passing God on that intersection and trying to find our own way. So here comes a baby. A perfect living God-man.
Christ.
Man.
Intersection.
And so here is Christ, with the knowledge and power of God and the ability to ride in our car. We have a Navigator. So it is now a new carpool. (Man, this is the cheesiest metaphor ever written) Until, the day that we kicked Him out. We had our ticket back to perfection and we kicked Him out.
Christ.
Man.
Separated.
We killed Him, Not only did we drive through, but little did we know, He was receiving the punishment each one of us deserved. The punishment of eternal hell for trillions of people over one. Long. Morning.
Vertical beam.
Horizontal beam.
Intersection.
Christ takes it all. He separates divinity and mortality, omnipotence and humanity and He dies. Taking every sin with Him.
Christ.
Hell.
Intersection.
But, thank God, that was but only an intersection, because as Christ goes through hell, every sin is dropped off and Christ pulls through three days later in glorious day.
Christ.
Eternity.
Merge.
And that is now our hope as well. Christ has found us and now all we have to do is follow.
Christ.
Us.
Merge.
I'm a college student at Liberty University trying to understand the endless depths of God's grace. I enjoy making people laugh, being with my friends and listening to music. In my spare time I'm an emerging sports fan and a lifelong pop-culture nerd. This is my little way of making an impression for Christ on this big ugly, yet wonderful thing we call the Internet.

Betrayed
I have been betrayed
But not as you might expect
Because this friendship was one that I wrecked.
In the end, it was him who walked out
Without as much as a whimper or shout.
There was another that I loved more
He was the one my friend left for.
This may seem cruel, but you'll see
It may seem personal, but it's meant to be.
I trusted the first.
We were up all night
Trying to divine what was wrong and right.
But when this second guy came around
My love for the first was drowned.
I hate him now
Without a tear on my brow.
I chose longevity with the second
While the first ended in brevity.
I don't regret a thing
While the first was one I know
The second had love in tow.
The first had been with me from birth
The second was the ruler of Earth
Now this is the reason I don't shed a tear
Because my second friend is Jesus
And the first is in the mirror.
But not as you might expect
Because this friendship was one that I wrecked.
In the end, it was him who walked out
Without as much as a whimper or shout.
There was another that I loved more
